Octavia began her career as a Tattoo Artist

in October of 2004, after graduating from BioTouch International's Micropigmentation training program. She started with cosmetic tattooing: eyebrows, eyeliner, lip blush, lash line enhancement, lip neutralization, beauty marks, and tattoo freckles.

 

As a former combat paramedic with the United States Army Reserves, it was obvious that Octavia would later add paramedical services to her repertoire: scar camouflage, tattoo heloma camouflage (corn on toes), inkless stretch mark camouflage, scalp micropigmentation (men) hairline restoration (women), Vitiligo camouflage, and Areola re-pigmentation (tattoo nipple restoration) for breast cancer survivors.

In 2005, Octavia was featured in the Milwaukee Community Journal's Minority Small Business section, as one of the first to bring permanent makeup to her community. A year later, in 2006, she was featured in the African American Women 50+ Lifestyle magazine. In that same year, Octavia was also featured on the Public Broadcasting Station channel 10/36 show Black Nouveau.

 

Also known as Tattoo Tavi, Octavia plans to share her passion and the knowledge she has acquired over the past 21 years in all things tattoo through her academy that will open in the spring of 2026.

 

Her passion and love for helping individuals achieve their personal best is only surpassed by her faith in GOD and her family. She is also an ordained minister.
